About my trip to Bamfield

Bamfield Marine Science Centre
On Sept 9th 2012, I left my very comfy and lovely home to join my classmates and my other fellow members of grade 9 at the Calgary Science School to go on a very important and fun trip to a place on the corner of the Vancouver Island or Victoria Island as it is called. The place that was at the corner of the island is called Bamfield, a marine science centre that is owned by the 5 major universities of Canada.
Bamfield is really a WOW-Factor. The whole area is built on two islands, with a lot of views the waters of the bay. It will make you say wow every time.  Bamfield is not all that bright like a modern city, but instead a old village that was built in between a channel of water, so you can still enjoy the nice dark sky with stars here and there. The first day that we started was on a Monday, the first activity that we had was called plankton lab, where we went into the bay on a boat called a skiff. After this moment, the following days passed very quick and we had so much fun, we got to see all of the creatures that lived in the ocean, learn more about them, and yes of course touch them! Each day was fully packed so the only time that we could rest and have some time to talk to friends were breakfast, lunch, dinner, and of course the 30 minutes before bed. When I say fully packed I mean fully packed, we woke up at 7:10 in the morning to eat breakfast then we set out in our groups to do the activities until 12 which was then lunch and then set out again until dinner. This was the story of me at Bamfield Marine Science Centre.
